supervision allows you to define supervisory relationships between providers in your organization this is useful for clinical oversight, billing delegation, calendar management, and administrative support supervision settings help ensure the right providers can oversee, support, or act on behalf of others, based on your organization’s structure and compliance needs what supervision is used for supervision relationships can be configured to allow a supervisor to countersign or oversee clinical encounters bill on behalf of another provider view or manage a supervisee’s calendar and appointments provide administrative or departmental oversight each relationship can include one or more supervision types, depending on what access is needed adding a supervision relationship go to settings → access open the supervision tab click add in the add supervision panel supervisor select the provider who will act as the supervisor supervisees select one or more providers being supervised supervision types choose at least one type of supervision notes (optional) add internal notes about this supervision relationship click save to create the supervision relationship supervision types explained when creating supervision, you can select one or more of the following types clinical allows the supervisor to countersign encounters and access supervisee clinical workflows billing allows the supervisor to bill on behalf of the supervisee and view billing related clinical codes calendar allows the supervisor to view and manage the supervisee’s calendar and appointments department manager provides administrative oversight, including scheduling and operational support you can combine multiple supervision types for a single relationship if needed managing existing supervision relationships from the supervision list, you can view all active supervision relationships see assigned supervisors, supervisees, and supervision types edit a supervision relationship to update roles or permissions remove a supervision relationship when it is no longer needed changes take effect immediately important notes supervision does not replace role based permissions roles, teams, and departments still control feature access a provider can have multiple supervisors if required supervision settings should reflect clinical, billing, and compliance requirements in your region need help? if you need help with scheduling, conflicts, or availability setup, contact us at support\@eggmed com
