roles let you control what each team member can see and do in your organization you can create custom roles to match how your practice actually works, instead of forcing everyone into one size fits all access w here to find roles go to settings from the sidebar select access open the roles tab here youโll see all existing system and custom roles, along with how many permissions and assignments each role has c reate a new role click add role in the top right corner the create role panel will open d efine role details fill in the basic information role name use a clear, descriptive name (for example care coordinator, intake assistant) description briefly explain what this role is responsible for this helps admins understand when to use it a ssign permissions permissions are grouped by feature area for each section, choose view and/or manage access as needed available permission areas include patients โ access to patient records and demographics appointments โ viewing, booking, scheduling, and canceling encounters โ clinical notes and visit history documents โ uploaded files and patient documents billing โ rules, settings, and workflows intakes โ forms and questionnaires calendars & events โ availability and calendar events services โ service types and pricing locations โ practice locations communication โ messages and notifications organization settings โ users, roles, and general configuration select only the permissions this role truly needs fewer permissions means better security and less confusion s ave the role once all permissions are set, click create role the new role will immediately be available to assign to team members from the people section helpful tips system roles canโt be edited, but custom roles can be updated anytime review roles regularly as your team grows to avoid over permissioning when in doubt, start with limited access and expand later need help? if you need help with scheduling, conflicts, or availability setup, contact us at support\@eggmed com
